The Leaders Lyceum

The first thing I noticed when entering the Leaders Lyceum suite for CityLights the morning of October 7th was the soothing environment. As I settled into the comfy black chairs and noticed the painted green walls and Lego building blocks on each table, I wondered why more offices weren’t decorated in such a soothing matter. It seems Dr. Keith Eigel and his partners know a bit about helping people feel comfortable, which is probably good since they also know about stretching people past their personal comfort levels to new heights of self-awareness.

The Leaders Lyceum’s mission is about helping people reach their full potential as leaders by accelerating their development in the areas of work, family, and beliefs. One way the Lyceum accomplishes this end is by creating groups of leaders who gather for scheduled sessions to intentionally explore their personal values, goals, and resources and give feedback to others in the group. In this structured setting, leaders can takes measured risks to accelerate past obstacles in their process of development and see their lives in the context of a bigger picture.
